FAQ
Attendance Policy At Curious Innovators of America (CIA), we are dedicated to maintaining comprehensive records of student attendance to meet all state record requirements. However, we understand that student attendance is ultimately at the parents' discretion. As a personalized alternative to traditional home education, our services are overseen by parental input and involvement. Key Points: Record Keeping: We maintain accurate and thorough records of student attendance to comply with state requirements. These records are available for review by parents at any time. Parental Responsibility: As a parent-driven educational program, it is the responsibility of the parents to ensure that their children meet the state-required instructional hours mandated for their age group. This ensures that each student receives the necessary education while benefiting from our innovative and personalized approach. Flexibility and Personalized Learning: Understanding that every child's learning journey is unique, our program allows for flexibility in attendance. Parents have the autonomy to decide the best schedule for their children, facilitating a learning environment that aligns with the child's individual needs and family circumstances. State Requirements: While we provide a structured curriculum and a range of educational resources, it is essential for parents to ensure their children are engaging with the material and meeting the state's instructional hour requirements. Collaboration and Support: We are here to support and collaborate with parents to ensure their children receive a quality education. If parents need assistance understanding state requirements or managing their child’s instructional hours, our staff is available to provide guidance and resources. By working together, we can create a dynamic and effective educational experience that meets state standards while honoring the personalized nature of our program. We appreciate the active role parents play in their children’s education and are committed to supporting their efforts in every way possible.
Tuition Payment Policy At Curious Innovators of America (CIA), we are committed to providing top-quality activities and resources to all our participants. As part of our dedication to maintaining a vibrant and dynamic learning environment, we have established the following tuition payment policies. Please note that tuition is due prior to the start of any enrolled courses, and refunds are not permitted once classes begin. Tuition Payments: Tuition payments are due on the dates stipulated in the enrollment agreement or on dates arranged by an alternative payment plan. While monthly bills and statements will be sent, it is the responsibility of each family to be aware of all due dates. Tuition Deposit: A required tuition deposit must accompany each enrollment agreement. Agreements received without a deposit will be returned, and the child will not be considered enrolled. Enrollment agreements will only be accepted if the family is not in arrears on tuition. Payment Management: Each family must register with the designated Tuition Management Plan. Late Payments: If payment cannot be made on time, it is the parent's responsibility to contact the Financial Secretary to make appropriate alternative arrangements. Payment Deadlines: A student will be denied entry at the start of the term if less than 40% of the tuition has been paid. If 70% of the tuition is not paid by the mid-term date, the child will be dismissed and unable to return after the break. If the full tuition is not paid by the final term deadline, the child will be dismissed from the academy. Payment Submission: Payments must be received by the Financial Secretary or their office no later than 5:00 p.m. on the scheduled due dates. Late and Returned Fees: Each account will be charged a $25 late fee for each month the account is in arrears and a $25 returned check fee. For any questions regarding billing, please contact the Financial Secretary. Support for Families While we act as responsible trustees of our parents’ tuition dollars, we are also committed to working with families who experience an interruption of income. Families in such situations are encouraged to contact the Financial Secretary to discuss payment arrangements or to make an appointment with the Board’s Tuition Assistance Committee. CIA, through its Board of Directors, will consider tuition assistance requests from families in need. The family must first complete all necessary financial aid forms. Once reviewed, please submit a written request to the Tuition Assistance Committee and give it to either the Principal or the Financial Secretary. We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to supporting our innovative educational community.
